About this website

This website is a tribute to my adopted home in the Loja province in southern Ecuador. Here I try to photographically capture my fascination for landscapes, fauna and flora and people in their daily lives and customs.

In a world that is changing at an unprecedented pace, I also try to capture the“yesterday” and essentially stop time and document what will be history tomorrow.

The center of my photographic work is the village of Vilcabamba and its surroundings in the Loja province in the southernmost part of Ecuador, but other places also find their way into this website.

The “Latest” section deals with recently held events, especially in the village of Vilcabamba and is continually updated.
